Tragic Love Songs

Im really over using this phrase. Tragic Love Songs. Someone should make an album out of it. Channel all your emo-ness into A-minor tunes and overdose black like there's no tomorrow. You'll never know, it might just make #1 on Ric-Dees and the Weekly Top 40! Im in the mood to listen to all the 'classic' love songs of the 80's and 90's. Especially Annie Lennox. People can say she's a freak and a tranny but really I think she's a brilliant artist. A perfect brew of unusualness and always a dash too many of theatrics. You should check out her song "No More I Love You's".

Let's see..I'm also listening to Madonna's "Take A Bow", The Cranberries "Linger" and Sinead O Connor's " Nothing Compares". Yeah its all about people having their hearts broken and being dumped. A few days ago I had Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone" on replay for a thousand times. Dont get me wrong! Tim and I are perfectly happy. hahha..In fact we just celebrated our 2 year anniversary Just that sad songs are really nice to listen to sometimes. I do notice when I listen to songs its always themed. Clubbing songs..Listen to it the whole day..Techno and trance...Listen to Tiesto and the likes the whole friggin day. and then the bimbotic pop songs which I absolutely love! Britney and Lady Gaga you're on the top of my list! ahahahaha.

Anyways..I dont think I have mentioned that I got a new job..Well..I got a new job! hahaha I got it about a month ago. Im working for this company called Australia Geographic. Really cool store for kids and grown ups alike. Basically Im a casual and I sell stuff and arrange the store and keep it clean. It's gotten pretty tricky especially with the computer. So many things to remember!!!

Today was pretty challenging as the EFTPOS wasnt working and there were so many customers wanting to pay with their cards and like GAH! I wasnt sure how to do the credit payments manually so I pretty much freaked out. Poor Jon (my manager btw) I had to bug him every second of the day and ask him this and that. I panicked especially when there was a line of customers and some didnt look very patient.

I still have heaps to learn though and hopefully I will be able to do so soon. I dont want to slack in my first job cause I dont know how to do it and I did make a promise that I wont let the manager down. Awww...But seriously. I need to keep this job.

We have this new campaign themed "First Landing on the Moon" and basically its all our astronomical merchandise that are getting the attention. We tried out Astronaut Ice Cream which is the dessert they send up to astronaut in space. It actually tasted okay. But just dont expect anything like ice cream. It was basically two wafers and dry cream in the middle. I had fun arranging the store (Yes we all know you like cleaning and tidying up Vicky) tho it took me FOREVER as I;m a bit of a perfectionist and I wouldnt leave it until it is done properly.

Aside from work I also started my IELTS classes. Its sort of like MUET which I did in Form 6. It had Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing Tests and I need 7 overall to get 25 points for my Permanent Residency application. Erm yes. Im applying for PR (naturally as Tim is here) but yeah PR lasts for 5 years and after that we will see where life takes me =)

I must say despite the high population of Chinese here and the countless numbers of Chinese Restaurants, it all disappoints me. My tastebuds have been spoiled by the flavours of KK and KL and my wallet teased by the prices I used to pay. Gah...I paid $1.30 for an anorexic popiah when much later after my shift i went back to the same stall and got 3 for $2 ahahha. hayer....There is however a few Malaysian Restaurants that serve really nice Chinese food like Ten Ten in Vic Park or Wongs at Karawara. Theres another one called the Golden Dragon or something of that kind in Northbridge that has pretty good dim sum as well.

However, the one that realllly blew me away LAH kan (have to use some Malaysian in here ahahha) was this Vietnamese Restaurant called LIDO in Northbridge. OMG! T he food! Gila Babi Sedap! Had the best spring rolls and noodles and scallops and oh! So much I cant think of it. I shud go over next time again and take pictures.

I hope I find more nice places to eat here. I promised Tim Ill take him somewhere nice for dinner once I get my first paycheck and I want to make sure its the best for my baby. Nah huiyo! Sa bah yang kasih kluar dollar bill skarang ahahha. Oh well..It feels nice to spoil someone else. Not that I dont spoil him. Considering that he treats me like a princess its just not enough =)

STAR WARS MARATHON

Spent 9 hours dedicated to the 4th, 5th, and 6th episode of Star Wars last night at Aaron's place and my! Felt like an owl when we were done. They are the most awesome movies ever and yeah always loved them since watching them with Stuart before. Tho it was a bit different like they added CGI and stuff (hahaa kept hearing the guys talking bout it). It looked sort of new but it wasnt. Yeah and in the last part of the 6th episode they changed the "spirit" appearance of Anakin Skywalker from the old man in the original version to Hayden Christensen. Im like but whyyy...It was kinda weird but it was all good anyways.

Had trouble sleeping coz I wasnt very sleepy at all. 5 of us slept in Aarons lounge hahaha Yuki on the couch, Bung on the smaller sofa (How on earth did he fall asleep and fit in that is a miracle!) and the rest of us on the floor. I finally fell asleep but woke up 3 hours later. Gahh. I havent slept til now.

Was a freeeeezing day and I spent most of it indoors arranging my room and hanging up my Ikea hanging storage. I love its green and white stripes material! Put Tims stuff and some of my smaller clothing items and voila my cupboard is no more a pain to look at!

Somehow after dinner I was kinda lonely for a while as it was cold and no one was home and Tim cudnt come over to see me so I started drinking Midori out of the bottle ahahaha (to keep me warm!) and before I knew it I was downloading karaoke songs from Youtube (like wtf?!) hahaa..Yesh I do like to sing when Im alone or maybe when Im with Tim. But never with others! I must admit I do this time to time when I "think" my voice is a bit "okay" and attempt to sing the song without screeching 30 seconds into the song but as usual my voice breaks sumwhere in the chorus when the notes are too high. Bleh..

I think I was pretty loud ahah but no more noise ban so yeay! Loud music to keep me company. I did warm up nicely after that bottle too. Ozzy dropped by afterwards to pass me my much needed quilt and sheets and now I can lie in them after typing this.

I wanted to "break" into my Novo peep toe pumps so I decided to wear them around the house for an hour (crazy!) and yeah it did hurt like a bitch for a while but a wild animal can always be tamed =) I cooked my pineapple fried rice in them and danced around in them at the same time and I guess I looked pretty stupid. ahahhaa in my leggins and Tims over washed T-shirt which I have stolen from him, and swaying around the kitchen to Lady Gaga fetching fish sauce.

Anyways, that was pretty much my day. Shud log off and shower now. Will post much needed updates soon. Taaa

Potatoes and Onions

Its more than a week since I last did groceries and pah what a fool I was to believe that all THAT would have lasted two weeks. My appetite has grown faster than the global pandemic that is swine flu. Which reminds me I am getting sick and eating rotting veges wont help cure me. Yeah....my fridge is itself again. Empty. Haahaha save 5 beer bottles and 2 Vodka Lime Sodas. I was curious about the dinner menu as always so I went to have little "stock count" of my own.

1. Cupboard

Yes with the emptiness it can afford to be messy haha

Okay messy cupboard. So we have, tea bags, sweet chilli, coffee blah blah..The only thing that could constitute a meal is that half hidden packet of BBQ Maggi Mee and the Country Ladle Soup which I got for $2! yeay! I love Coles buy 3 for $6.

So anyways, yeah I have here a single egg in the cardboard tray, one single pak choy (why I didnt include it with the rest of the vege in my mee goreng mamak last week I have no idea), potatoes, 100 plus, and expired hot cross buns. Id still eat that tho. Hhahaha did it before and it still tasted great!

And finally the liquid section. hahahhaa...Its not even mine. Its our left over from the last drinking session. My mango beer was the first to go. This is Bung n James's stash. Which is to be consumed in the near future I hope. hehhehee.The milk is mine tho. Sad. Hhahaha.

Aside from this I do have bacon bits and fish balls and few nuggets sumwhere in the freezer. Oh and my ultimate emergency food. Frozen Lasagna. Which is like the block of ice in which Rebecca Bloomwood had frozen her spare credit card in (Confessions of a Shopaholic) hahhahaa I found that hilarious.

No wonder Tim said our theme for dinner lately was the great depression hahaha. Tho I made it good. The other night we had garlic bacon cheese bread with beef and vegetable soup (Country Ladle of course) and...lemon pepper squid. Which was yummy! But now. Im going to have to scratch my head on how to make these "scarce" resources into 2 meals a day for the next 5 days. At least til Wednesday. Im trying to see how much I can save up. Hahaha with $20 with me now.

I must say I spent too much on Mamak Night. Cant believe the normal kuih muih is $2 each! If I didnt want Tim to have the food Id not send so much on those! Think I could have gotten 6 of those back home with the price I paid. Tho I cant say cause I suppose it'd be more expensive to make them here. But yeah. Disappointed with the event a bit as a lot of the food was sold out so quickly. I hope they will make sure there is lots and lots of stuff next time round. Tho I must say Im happy to eat satay again! and Teh Tarik!

Sighs. But thats as close as it gets. There are some pretty delish Asian food here but I cant take my mind off Wo Teh! Konlau Porkchop Lido! Nasi Goreng Cempaka! Dim Sum! Oceans Seafood! Tuaran Mee. Konlau Kuey Tiaw Kulit Babi Gorengs Hancurssss...hahhh.....sengsara..

Kittel! Sa rindu partner makan sia! And I miss taking your food when Ive finished mine ahahahahhaa! Hey Tal, this year kita anniversary 18 tahun! Huah huah huah! Giggity giggity owww right. hahaha
